Satu unit helikopter NBELL 412 EP PT Dirgantara Indonesia diserahkan kepada Komandan Pusat Penerbangan Angkatan Darat di Pusat Penerbangan Pondok Cabe, Tangerang Selatan (Tangsel), Banten.
Seperti dilansir okezone, Direktur Utama PT Dirgantara Indonesia Budi Santoso mengatakan, helikopter NBELL 412 EP merupakan produksi pertama dalam negeri atas kerjasama Menteri Pertahanan RI dan PT Dirgantara Indonesia.
"Penyerahan ini merupakan kebanggaan tersendiri bagi PT Dirgantara Indonesia, karena Menhan dan Mabes TNI telah mempercayakan pertahanan dalam negeri kepada kami," ujarnya. Dijelaskan, helikopter NBELL 412 EP merupakan satu-satunya pesawat yang mempunyai dwifungsi. Sebagai mobil udara yang berfungsi untuk misi kemanusiaan, namun pesawat ini dilengkapi dengan senapan kaliber 30 di sisi kanan dan kiri Helikopter. "Kerjasama pertahanan ini merupakan revitalisasi program pertahanan Indonesia yang telah dicanangkan oleh Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY)," jelasnya. LM
